SIMULTANEOUS INTERPRETATION

Simultaneous interpretation is the oral translation of a speech while it is being developed, in other words, the interpreter is installed in a sound isolation booth, with specialized equipment, the interpreter listens to the speech by using headphones and orally interprets it in real time into the target language. This type of interpreting is most frequently used at conferences, expositions, meetings, etc.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

Consecutive interpreting does not require a sound isolation booth, nor the use of headphones nor specialized equipment, but the interpreter only uses a pencil with a notebook where the note taking technique is applied. The consecutive interpreting process is as follows: The speaker speaks for a duration of 1 to 2 minutes, the interpreter listens and applies note-taking, afterwards the interpreter performs the interpretation into the target language.

LIAISON INTERPRETING

Liaison interpreting or more commonly known as escort interpreting, the interpreter is always with the client and liaises between two or more people. This type of interpreting is used in meetings, events or tours.
